Mrs. McCarthy's 6th class are taking part in a new pilot observation project dedicated to heat waves, surface temperatures and cloud cover called "How Cool is Your School?". Having completed all the observations in March, 6th class took part in the GLOBE Cool Schools presentation on Zoom on March 30th.
The project and initial findings were discussed showing the images of schools from Israel and Malta. The class then shared their findings, ideas, and things that made them curious so far.
After each presentation, some special sustainability and climate resilience solutions-experts gave our students feedback, ideas, and suggestions for what we can do with their results, and how they can work towards getting one of their ‘cool school’ ideas implemented at school.
