What a day at the Cork City Sports 2024

24 incredible pupils from 1st to 6th class travelled to MTU today for the Cork Primary School Sports. The training and commitment paid off! We won an incredible 19 trophies, 2 shields & 1 cup!

The girls lead the charge;

1st place for Aoife Harte in the 100m sprint who then competed in the County Quarter Finals.

1st place for Cara Daly in the 100m sprint. Having qualified out of her County Quarter Final, she placed in an incredible 2nd place in the County Final.

2nd place for Doireann Couse in the 80m sprint.

2nd place for Saoirse Burns in the 60m sprint.

An incredible 1st place for our relay team consisting of Aoife Harte, Ciara Long, Andrea Deasy and Cara Daly.

We then proudly marched in the Centenary Celebrations of the Cork City Sports.

Next up were the boys;

1st place for Daniel Keohane in the 100m sprint who then competed in the County Quarter Finals.

2nd place for Darragh O’Sullivan in the 100m sprint.

2nd place for Travis Asare in the 80m sprint.

2nd place for Cian O’Sullivan in the 80m sprint.

3rd place for Jack Harte in the 80m sprint.

1st place for Ross O’Leary in the 80m sprint who then competed in the County Quarter Finals.

2nd place for Daniel Harte in the 60m sprint.

Our boys’ relay team, Darragh O'Sullivan, Donncha Deasy, Travis Asare & Daniel Keohane, thundered home in 1st place securing 2 out of 2 for the Timoleague NS Relay Teams.

We were awarded a cup & 2 shields for the double relay and overall school award.
