Creative Clusters

16th May 2024

We were thrilled to learn last week that our application to the Creative Cluster Initiative 2024-2026 was successful. We will be working together with 4 other local primary schools. Our Theme “Vitamin Sea” explores how bodies of water (rivers, seas) positively impact primary school children's wellbeing. Research indicates that proximity to water enhances mood, reduces stress and boosts cognitive function. Through interactive activities, pupils will engage with aquatic environments, fostering curiosity, empathy and a deeper connection to nature for holistic development. Our aim is to enrich our educational practices and foster creativity amongst our pupils. By collaborating with other schools and resource sharing, we hope to broaden our perspectives and gain insights into innovative analysis related to the theme of “Vitamin Sea”. The cluster of five schools hopes to actively engage in theme -based activities, including workshops, collaborative projects and professional development opportunities. This active involvement ensures that all schools will benefit from the collective learning experience. Congratulations and Thanks to Teresa O’Donovan who coordinated our successful application.
