Congratulations to 6th class who successfully passed the motion “Shopping Local Should Become The New Normal” on Friday October 15th against Kilcolman NS. They now progress to the next round. Thanks to Helen Crowley and Anne McCarthy for helping prepare the children so well. Research clearly demonstrates that critical thinking skills are best developed by children through explicit instruction and practice. Structured debating competitions can be an excellent way of doing this.
