Over the next few months Ms Keohane’s 2nd & 3rd class are joining the 35 schools from across the island observe leaf colour changes and the timing of leaf branch release. They are joining an international NASA project with
GLOBE Ireland by observing a Sweet Chestnut Tree close to the school. They will be observing the leaves and their colour change over the Autumn and Winter months. The students will share their observations with The GLOBE Program data base to help scientists better understand the impact of a changing climate on trees!
