Learn at School Grow at Home

21st Mar 2025

This week, Infant classes had a fantastic time planting potatoes in the school garden. With the help of Yvonne and their teachers, the children learned about the different stages of potato growth, from seed to harvest. They carefully dug small holes, placed the seed potatoes inside, and gently covered them with soil.

This food-growing project helps children and their families see how easy and fun it is to grow their own food at home. As part of this initiative, each child will learn how to set up a mini-garden and grow vegetables like potatoes and peas.

Over the next few months, we’ll be watering and caring for our potatoes, eagerly waiting for them to sprout. We look forward to harvesting them before the summer holidays and enjoying the delicious results of our hard work. Well done to all our little gardeners! 🌿✨
