5th class has paired up with Junior Infants & 3rd/4th class have paired up with Senior Infants.
Paired Reading is an ideal way of improving reading skills among children. Reading Buddies allows younger readers to see what being fluent looks like as they have a peer model demonstrating reading skills while also experiencing positive role models. The older students develop social and emotional skills like patience and empathy as they work with their littler readers.
