We were delighted to have Team Ireland Olympic Ambassador Phil Healy visit our school today as part of the Dare to Believe primary school programme.
The children have been very busy preparing for her visit creating posters, cards and flags as well as learning about Phil's journey and taking part in curriculum linked Dare to Be resources.
There was a lot of excitement this morning with the children lining the hallway for Phil's arrival. She was then presented with a bouquet of flowers and handmade cards.
Phil spoke to the children about her journey, the importance of having fun and enjoying sport and also how she overcame the many challenges in her career. Phil then took the children outside for games and relays.
Thanks very much to Phil for giving up her time and for being such and inspiration to all of us today.
