Our boys hurling team represented our school in the new West Cork Sciath na Scoil hurling competition in Skibbereen on Friday October 13th.
After the grading competition a few weeks ago, we were placed in Division 1 which included two groups of three schools. The top side in each group would play in the Cup final, the 2nd placed teams in each group would play in the Shield final and the 3rd placed in the Plate final. After emerging from our group as winners after superb games against
Gaelscoil Mhichíl Uí Choileáin and
St. Patrick’s BNS, Skibbereen, we next faced
Bishop Galvin Central School Newcestown in the A Final. Our boys played brilliantly but were runners up on the day.
