There was a hive of activity around the school today as our eagerly awaited solar panels were installed. Sincere thanks to Sharon Crosbie of Cork Solar for all her help and ensuring the installation went smoothly without any interruptions to the school.
Through the Department of Education’s Solar for Schools Programme our school received funding for 14 solar panels, generating up to 6 kilowatts of clean energy. This will not only help reduce our energy costs but also support our ongoing commitment to sustainability. We are very excited to have them installed. We also have a dedicated monitor in the school where we can keep track of our energy production and usage.
