STEPS Young Engineers Award
The STEPS Young Engineers Award competition encourages pupils and their teachers to explore the world of engineering by developing an engineering project that would help improve their local community. Schools are encouraged to invite local engineers to visit their class for a showcase of the projects. The engineers will also give the class an insight into the important role of engineering in the community.
On Friday November 24th, 2nd & 3rd class were delighted to welcome Nikhil Vengatesan, a Controls Engineer from Arup. The children have worked so hard on their egg drop projects creating all sorts of creative parachutes to prevent the egg breaking. Nikhil was able to tell us all about being an engineer and how fun and exciting it is. He also helped them with their projects.
